Rare Beauty Reposados
Aged tequila can get a little serious. We thought, why not have a little fun here. Cachasol Rare Beauties are limited, single-expression 10-month reposados made for the moments that call for something a little more special.
Single expressions. Limited bottles. Beautiful moments.
We aged our Cachasol Blanco for exactly 10 months in four very different barrels: ex-Bourbon Whiskey, ex-Napa Valley Cabernet, ex-Napa Valley Merlot and ex-Mexican Craft Rum. Same base tequila going into the barrel. Same aging time. Four radically different results.
Cachasol has always been built around experimentation. We source our agave from coastal Nayarit, ferment with an IPA-inspired ale yeast, and look for fun ways to let curiosity lead. Rare Beauties takes that same spirit of exploration to the barrel.
Each Reposado shows a different side of Cachasol. The agave is still prominent, but the barrel changes the color, texture, aroma and flavor in a way that can never be repeated exactly.
That is the idea behind Rare Beauties. Small, singular expressions worth discovering while they last. Only a few hundred of each expression bottled, so pick up yours before they're gone.
Orders that include a pre-order item ship together once that item is available.
Warm vanilla, oak and structure.
Aged exactly 10 months in ex-bourbon whiskey barrels. Richer and warmer, with vanilla, oak, baking spice and the bright agave core still coming through.
42% ABV | 500 ML | Only 400 bottled
Ships early November.
Dark fruit and a deeper finish.
A Rosa Reposado aged exactly 10 months in Napa Cabernet barrels. Darker fruit, greater depth and structure, with a long finish that still carries Cachasol's bright agave character.
42% ABV | 500 ML | Only 200 bottled
Ships early November.
Red fruit and soft tannin.
A Rosa Reposado aged exactly 10 months in Napa Merlot barrels. Red fruit and softer tannin pull the tequila in a completely different direction while preserving the agave underneath.
42% ABV | 500 ML | Only 150 bottled
Ships early November.
Tropical richness and round sweetness.
Aged 10 months in Pelícanas Rum barrels from Hacienda del Carmen, made by dear friends of Cachasol. Rounder and more tropical, with rum-driven richness layered onto the same bright agave base.
42% ABV | 500 ML | Only 50 bottled
Available in Mexico only. Taste it at the farm.
Same tequila. Same starting proof. Same 10 months. Four completely different barrels.
Vanilla / Toasted Oak / Baking Spice / Structure
Dark Fruit / Deeper Structure / Rich Texture / Long Finish
Red Fruit / Soft Tannin / Silky Texture / Gentle Structure
Tropical Fruit / Soft Sweetness / Dried Fruit / Round Finish
Rare Beauties are so expressive, we like to keep the pours simple.
Sip one neat after dinner, pour one over a large cube, or line up several side by side and see just how differently the same tequila can evolve.
Every Rare Beauty starts with the same Cachasol Blanco, made from 100% Nayarit-grown agave and fermented with our IPA-inspired ale yeast. Bright agave character is the constant.
Bourbon whiskey. Napa Cabernet. Napa Merlot. Mexican craft rum. Each Rare Beauty spends its full 10 months in that barrel. These are not barrel finishes. The barrel shapes the expression from beginning to end.
Same tequila. Same starting proof. Same aging time. Exactly 10 months later, four remarkably different tequilas emerged. That contrast is the beauty of the experiment.
Rare Beauties are single expressions made in tiny quantities. Only hundreds of bottles of each U.S. release exist.
When this release is gone, the exact combination of agave, fermentation, barrel and time goes with it.
Only 750 bottles across the three U.S. expressions.
